My heartfelt thanks to Sgt. Glenn Young, Sgt. John McFarlane, Woodruffs' Iraqi interpreter, Maj. Michael Jason, and Maj. Bill Taylor for their rolls in saving the lives of Bob Woodruff and Doug Vogt. The instantaneous action by these and other soldiers of the 4th Infantry not only saved the lives of Bob and Doug, but undoubtedly vastly improved their chances of survival and rapid recovery. It's a matter of one good deserves another; these fine military personnel knew that Bob and Doug have been telling their story to the home folks and genuinely care about our people in harms way. Thanks so much. The enormous amount of attention and explanation about the injuries to the journalists enlighten all of us as to the same injuries that over 16,000 of our finest have experienced.
