Most Americans really don't give a roll of soiled toliet tissue about soldiers and jounalist who are severly injured for life in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is very sad, but so very true, because most of these soldiers don't get all of thier medical benefits for life.

Its true that there are alot of injured soldiers out there who we have forgotten about. My brother in law was paralyzed in Iraq. When he first got to Washington state where my husband and I were living we didnt get alot of help from anywhere. It was like my brother in law was thrown into the wild with an injury that is very devastating. The first four months when he was in the hospital was very hard. We were left to help him find a home that was going to be able to accomidate him or else be able to fix a home with the little money the V.A. gives to make his house wheelchair accessible. When we had found a home for my brother in law we were introduced to someone who was willing to help. He started a fund and got very many donations and was able to turn his house into a wonderful home that can totally accomidate him. The sad part of this story is that my brother in law just happened to get lucky. There are many other injured soldiers who are not so lucky and now are struggling. I hope people will remember that there are many soldiers out there who need our help. thank you for your post.

Now that it is tax time, they ought have a box to check on the 1040 form that at least 10 percent of any refund can go to a fund for needy wounded soldiers. This would replace that meaningless box that you check for presidential campaigning fund.

The United States of America's current 2005 deficit is $750 billion dollars, and half of the money was spent on buying "New War Toys." The USA has enough money to pay for our USA veterans helathcare, but does it have enough Americans who have the courage to write their Senators, congressmen, and USA President, and if that doesn't work then it is truly time, for the "Dr. martin Luther King Jr.'s "Model For Massive Civil Disobedience," and the shuting down of the nation's capital with millions of poor Americans demanding dollars for the poor and the USA injured USA veterans.

devil, good idea! Although I would be pleased if the Congressional Representatives of Americans would keep their word to military personnel.
