Administration officials have long complained that Iran was supplying Shiite Muslim militants with lethal explosives and other materiel used to kill U.S. military personnel. But despite several pledges to make the evidence public, the administration has twice postponed the release ? most recently, a briefing by military officials scheduled for last Tuesday in Baghdad. "The truth is, quite frankly, we thought the briefing overstated, and we sent it back to get it narrowed and focused on the facts," national security advisor Stephen J. Hadley said Friday. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-iran3feb03,0,2695314.story?coll=la-home-headlines

We should wait for them to present the evidence, but what has been said so far is very compelling: http://abcnews.go.com/International/IraqCoverage/story?id=2688501 Also, the attack on Karbala was well beyond the capabilities of Iraqis to plan and execute. Clearly Iran was involved (or someone besides the Iraqis): http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/01/30/iraq.main/index.html Finally, Al-Maliki himself admitted Iranians are operating inside his country: http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/01/31/iraq.main/index.html That leaves no doubt to any reasonable person.

We shouldn't be there in the first place. Our Soldiers should be stateside, or deployed elsewhere, where they are not in daily peril for a conflict that was justified on lies and fabricated evidence. THAT is a HUGE disservice and disrespect to our servicemen. Divide Iraq into Kurdish, Shiite and Sunni and leave. Other options will fail. That's the only one that has a chance for success in any form. Stubbornness will only cost more lives, and will perpetuate this horrible mess.

Maybe they cant prove it, but when has that stopped Bush from acting without the facts first? Plus, what we DO know is that Iran has had missiles show up in Israel after they have attacked them. With Israel being the only ally we have over there in that region, is Bush going to let that go by since he wants Iran to concede that they have involvement? AND the Saudis are not really an ally, they have gone along with us just to appease us, so we wont turn on them! They would just as soon us not be over there either! Iran is behind some of the Iraqi materials and explosives and thus the Russians that supply Iran with missiles are there too. So knowing that, why are we still trying to help Russia with food for trade? We should leave their country to them completely. They are sitting back and laughing because the US has been so gullible as to think that the Russians have quit their plans against us. They dont do it face up front but they are behind in the background. Otherwise, Iran wouldnt have material from Russia that has shown that they came from there.
