I know many parents that have children with Autism, all varying in severity, come against the communication barrier that goes along with it.  I have recently enrolled in American Sign Language classes, and have heard that the instruction of sign can help overcome some of that communication barrier.  Is this true, and is it more beneficial that some of the other treatments?
