Thankyou to ABC News for televising the report on the Medication called Seroquel. If the news crew looks a little closer, they will discover that the predicessor to Seroquel, was zyprexa, and the list does go on and on. An anticessor is a drug called Abilify. Same this but with horrific consequences. Guinea pigging, is not a new concept...but it was nice to see ABC News pay attention. Mental illness is not any more pretty or ugly to deal with than any other illness...but holly-wood these days seems to glamourize alcohol and drug abuse. Nothing is so ugly as free will gone riot. Mental illness is different, it is not free will, but not untreatable. Just different tx.

I agree, mental illness is very important to treat as any other conditions out there. Specially high anxiety in the work place and moms like me, that has to work hard to try to balance my career and family life. I don't really care much about treating mental illness with drugs, because there's other more natural ways of doing treating it then with medication. Also like stress and depression, both are very treatable with counseling and therapies, specially for working mothers like me that needs it. Here's a great article I read about mental health and about working moms that I found that may be beneficial for you... :)
