I struggled with alocohol abuse off and on since the age of 21.  Never drank as a teen.  For the first 30 years it rarely interfered with my life, the problem I had was that whenever I drank socially it sometimes resulted in drinking until I felt th "buzz"!  Six years ago, for whatever reason, I finally had a period that lasted 2-3 months of total alcohol abuse.  Drinking hard liquor straight and in copious amounts.  I was still able to keep up appearances and was a functioning alcoholic.  Thank God my family finally intervened and I was able to quit "cold turkey" with the help of some counseling and the support of family and close friends.

MY QUESTION:  My neuropathy started slowly about 7 months after I quit drinking and it quickly escalated into extremely painful tingling, burning neuropathy.  I have an intrathecal pain pump and am taking Lyrica (600mg/dday).  Is it possible that there could be a 6-7 month lapse in the time I quit drinking until I started with the neuropathy?
