What is this the dark ages? Circumcision is technically an amputation. It IS genital mutilation. You are talking about deciding weather or not to cut off part of your son's ####. This does not sound like a rational decision. It has the most sensitive parts. Why would you cut it off? Plus doing it without his consent.... The science for doing this is nothing but desperation and clutching at straws. This procedure can go very wrong. There have been serious complications from botched prepuce amputations. Not too mention many boys go on to have penile sensitivity issues.
I am not at all happy about that fact that part of my body was cut off of me, without my consent when I was a defenseless infant. I had problems with sensitivity. I am actually stretching my penile skin to regain glans coverage in order to increase sensitivity. Erection and #### are not impossible, but very difficult. they are getting easier the more my glans is covered. This is one of things that may happen to some boys.
There is no way I would have a needless amputation performed on my son. Never. It would be done over my dead body. How could anyone do that to their poor defenseless boy now, knowing what we know today. He screams and cries because it is painful. And it is not needed. When you look at the beautiful baby boy that you just had, that you love with all your heart, are you going to look at him and say, " I've got an idea, let's cut off part of his ####!"? Does that even make any sense? You would not cut the clitoral hood and #### minora off of your daughter would you? Then why cut the same tissue from your son?
Please leave your son whole as nature intended. Over the years doctors have discovered so called "useless" organs are not so useless . Like the tonsils, the appendix, and the prepuce. So leave the poor boy alone.
