Hello,
I am writing you to have my mother and father put in the contest. On Thanksgiving Day my life changed forever, and today I go home thanks to God, my nurses and therapist, and my family -especially my parents. This is difficult to write. I use to use a keyboard in my bed in the dark. But on the day before Thanksgiving Day I went out to get a benign tumor on the outside lining of my brain removed. The operation went well. That night I suffered 3 strokes. The clot was removed by the stroke intervention team with a drug known as a "clot buster". I was cared for by doctors in Pittsburgh at Mercy and Presby UPMC, and then Healthsouth Monroeville by some of the nurses especially Deloris "Dee", and at Heathsouth Harmarville. Harmarville is listed as the 7th Rehabilitation Hospital in the Nation, but it should be higher. The staff here care about their patients. I felt safe here.
My parents are phenomenal. They took care of me excellently, like good parents do. But, they also helped my ex-husband take care of my 4 sons. I am young, so they are younger. They are7,9,11,and 21. They both worked and the both kept my house up and running the whole time. They even kept the dog! My church, Behlehem Baptist Church in Mckeesport lead by Rev. Coleman and my friends were instrumental, even my friends' parents! But hats go off to my mom and dad.
Last but not least, my kids. They have been wonderful. They even made the Honor Roll and stayed in college. To them I'm thankful. Please make sure this gets to the right people.
Thanks,
Margie
