I am having a very difficult time trying to find the right medicatations) for the treatment of my Bi-Polar and/or depression symptoms. I've always assumed that I was depressed rather than Bi-Polar. Is Lithium still the most popular drug used by doctors today. I've tried up to 200mg of Lamictal for a few months but only seemed to have deeper depression symptoms. Can Lithium be used in conjunction with an SSRI. I'm also concerned about G.A.D. and  traits of Borderline Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder and possible psychosomatic disorders. Weight gain has also been a problem.
