I have been taking a variety of antidepressants for more than 10 years, during which time I have gained more than  50 lbs.  I am currently taking 150 mg of Effexor.  I would like to try going off the effexor and my dr. has agreed  to help me slowly go off them.  At the first of the year I began a walking  program and go to the gym 4X weekly so I am feeling much better physically; but there's but no weight loss!    My husband and I are also following a lower fat diet.  I have MS.  Do you feel that going off the effexor will help with the weight loss?  Thank you!
