I AM A STAY AT HOME MOM OF 4 YOUNG KIDS AGE 7,4,4, AND 18 MONTH. I ALSO AM IN NURSING SCHOOL. FOR THE LONGEST TIME I CANT REMEMBER BEING AUTHENTICALLY HAPPY. I ALSO CAN GET AGITATED VERY QUICKLY. SOME DAYS I FEEL LIKE I AM ACTUALLY OUT OF MY HEAD. IT IS FOGGY AND FEELS LIKE I'M  IN A DREAM. NOT ALWAYS BUT SOMETIMES. ALSO ONCE IN A WHILE I JUST DONT FEEL LIKE LEAVING THE HOUSE. I WOULD LOVE JUST TO HIDE AWAY IN PAJAMAS ON THE COUCH. MY HUSBAND ALWAYS TELLS ME I NEED A HAPPY PILL AND THAT I ALWAYS SEEM #### OFF. I JUST FEEL SO BAD FOR MY KIDS BECAUSE I DONT THINK I'M BEING THE BEST MOM I CAN BE. I HAVE EVERYTHING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT. A GREAT HUSBAND. FINANCIALLY WE ARE FINE. MY KIDS ARE ALL HEALTHY. NICE HOME. I WANT TO BE HAPPY BUT I JUST CANT. THE MAIN THING THAT WORRYS ME IS MY AGITATION. I'M ALWAYS YELLING AT THE KIDS. I CAN FEEL MYSELF JUST ESCALATING. WHAT AM I DEALING WITH ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION AND WOULD SOME KIND OF MEDICATION HELP ME? THANK YOU SO MUCH. THIS WAS VERY HARD TO DISCUSS.

I have a  LOT on my plate right now; a whopping IRS debt, credit card debt, inaability to pay mortgage, health issues besides bipolar disorder, etc., and am only wondering if the manifestations of anxiety can lead to depression.  My boyfriend says I blame everything on the bipolar; but I'm sure with all I'm dealing with right now, it can and will affect my mood.  He says I have to take responsibility for my actions, and not use bipolar as an excuse.  If this anxiety continues, I just wonder how much it will lead to a full-blown clinical depression, and if there is anything to forestall such an occurrence.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should go to your Dr tell him everything! It sounds to me like you may have postpartum depression, but don't tell Tom Cruise... anti depressants really do help and you can get back to a happy life with your family. Also you seem to be doing so much can you cut down on some of the things you do and make sure you get time for you, time for you & your husband and time as a family? It goes by so fast & I am sure you don't want to miss it. Hope this helps!
