Not surprised.  Heard some of this "rumor" from Israelis I work with.  So I don't know how accurate it is, but something I've suspected Obama would do.

In light of this revelation, perhaps even 90 hours is too trusting. Perhaps Israel, if it does strike, will do it without any warning to the US whatsoever.

I am supplying the link to my mother's hometown newspaper so you can see the letter to the editor I had printed today. It speaks of the commitment many modern Christians have towards Israel, and why Christians in previous centuries were not always so benevolent towards the Jews. My letter is at the bottom of the page.

Obama has no better understanding of the situation than I do.  That is the sad part.  I believe Israelis and Iranians do not want this to "blow up", similar to our own cold war.  However, the Israelis I discuss this with, will say Netanyahu is a trouble maker.  But they will follow him to the death if need be.  Pretty sure Iranians feel the same way about their own leadership.  Obama just does want anything to happen before November.

Thanks for reading the letter, and for your comments.

The best part of it was getting a good word put in for CUFI.  I hope it generates a few more attendees for our summit in July.  Hagerstown is not too far from Washington.

"Two reports today about Iran’s nuclear program and the possibility of an Israeli military strike have analysts in Israel accusing the Obama administration leaking information to pressure Israel not to bomb Iran and for Iran to reach a compromise in upcoming nuclear talks."

Oh My God!  What IS the administration thinking?  Trying to prevent a war between Israel and Iran????  Oh really!  How terrible.

Given what we know about Iran, war cannot be avoided indefinitely.  If we pressure Israel not to strike, the time would come when it would be too late to do so.

To think Iran can be talked out of taking the course they are already on is downright naive.  Obama wants to avoid war alright, but only insofar as it benefits HIM to do so.

How allowing the Iranians to buy time would eventually affect Israel does not seem to be a matter of any importance.  Truces in Islam are NEVER permanent.  Muhammad set the standard by buying himself some time with a false peace agreement, which he broke when he was fully prepared to take agressive action.

Iran will employ similar measures to try to convince the west that they can be placated.  And then when no one expects it -- a nuclear attack will be carried out.

I completely understand.  What the United States should do is back Israel 100%, antagonize Iran and root for WAR!!!  That way, perhaps, those who are packing their bags for the Promised Land will get their desire in time for the December 2012 prophecy.  I get it.

I don't support it and anyone who thinks that President Obama is simply putting off war until after November 2012 to help win the election is out of their ever lovin' mind.  Anyone who thinks it is in the best interest of the World to allow Israel to bomb Iran is out of their ever lovin' mind.  This thread is ridiculous in it's religious fever for blood and might.

I just can't fathom any one being upset that the United States is attempting to keep Israel and Iran from going to war.  It simply isn't logical.

I need to be honest here, I voted for President Obama but I'm not a "fan".  I think there are a number of things he needs to address in his administration of the economy etc.  I also don't care for the blame game.  It was one thing at the beginning but now it is just pathetic.

However, ANY President who would ENCOURAGE a war between Israel and Iran would not only be remiss in his/her duties but completely inept.

Israel WANTS peace.  Iran WANTS to destroy Israel.

How do you reconcile those two desires?

Antagonize?  Iran is the one who keeps talking about wiping Israel and America off the map.  I call that antagonism.

Christians do not believe the world will end on December 21, 2012.  We do not put any stock in a MAYAN CALENDAR.  This notion does not correlate with true Bible prophecy of what will really happen perhaps in the near future, but not necessarily by the end of 2012.
