Scary stuff, the JetBlue Pilot who suffered possibly a panic attack while in the air. Kudos to the passengers who subdued him, and the copilot who had the foresight to lock the cockpit door.

Yikes.

It sounds like panic, yet violent panic.
How awful to be a passenger witnessing this.

I saw an interview and the passengers were very shaken. Thank goodness for level headed pilots like the co-pilot!

And the off duty pilot on the plane who just went in and helped land the plane and the person who subdued the panicked pilot.
Crazy environment to keep one's head calm. Kudos is right.

I agree. The passengers had to be scared spitless. The guy who got control of him..  now that's a hero!

There used to be a poster here who called her son Z-man. Funny the things that will pop into your head. Now, if only my needed memories would pop up that easily!   :)

Lots of things can trigger a "meltdown", both physical and psychological. I'm sure he's being evaluated fully.
