Last week I filled my tank at $3.75/gal.  I was out this morning and the price is currently $3.95/gal.  Twenty cents in one week?  Yep, things are looking dandy.

$4 something here. Painful     Sure is!  I can guarantee you I will not be driving unless absolute necessity.  We hold off until we are able to make one trip to each place in the same vicinity.      What frightens me the most, last week when my hubby went to work, airline fuel was at $6.50/gal.  If this keeps up, his job won't last much longer.  I would imagine that to be the same of other companies as well.

I sincerely hope that does not happen beech.  We all muddled through in 2008 - we will get through now.  Just wish I had the money to buy a more fuel efficient vehicle.  And now my daughter is learning to drive - you know what THAT means.  :-)

I remember foregoing a vacation back then. Maybe have to do that this year too. We shall see.

Oh, I am feeling the pain with my son.  Thankfully, he is smart enough not to drive unless absolutely necessary.

I read this morning fossil fuels are needed now.  They claimed it will take decades to become less dependent on gas and onto solar energy.

Not trying to bash Obama here, but he did tell us he wanted gas at $5/gal.  Looks like he is getting his wish at the hands of Americans.  As our leader, he should be looking for means to drop the prices.  I fret that thousands if not millions will find themselves in the unemployment line soon if this trend does not stop.

Most politicians play word games to cast themselves in the most favorable light, so perhaps it's understandable that few people took it seriously when President Obama unaccountably said during his 2008 presidential campaign that energy prices would "necessarily skyrocket" under his program.

We live on a farm.  She has been driving since she could see over the steering wheel - 5th grade?  :-)  But the highway and in town are very different than a back country dirt road.

Almost $4.00 here. So glad we finally move soon. It cuts our commute in half.

That is great news for you!  Any savings at this time helps!
