Loved the funny story about the moose in the bedroom this am. Felt sorry for the obviously startled moose though and guess that look is where the "deer in the head lights"  term originated that is often  used to refer to a ditzy look, or one who seems at a loss for words.

You shared that the moose was okay but the structure he crashed through had received some sever damage. Question: Would homeowner's insurance cover such a claim? Or would that be considered an act of nature? Just sayen??

Thanks for mixing those cute, touching, funny stories into the mix with a style all your own. Most other news stations, or shows, are too depressing with the constant barrage of negative takes on negative stories. We need more moose stories in our daily news! thanks yall!

I once met a guy at a conference who was from one of the far northern Canadian towns.  They had trouble with maurading moose all winter (looking for food).

He said they weren't those cute bullwinkle types of critters.  They get very, very large. Are very very sstong.  And do huge amounts of damage to houses, trees, even cars.  Their local constantable would have a regular winter night patrol to try to run thme out of town.

Didn't see the story in your Post, but after talking to that guy - I am sure they can make a mess of any thing becasue of their size.

I used to read "If You Give A Moose A Muffin" to my DD when she was young. Great kids book.

I would imagine house insurance would pay but who knows since there are so many different policies.  I remember a video of a woman in Fla who came out to her car in the morning to discover an alligator was under it.  When animal control came to snag it, it caused a bit of damage to the car.  She said when she called the insur co they hardly even believed her at first but they paid off.
