Tim Franks has over 29 years of experience in the foodservice industry, which has included working as the Groen Capkold Corporate Chef / Trainer for Unified Brands for four years. In 2007 he accepted the dual role of Unified Brands Executive Chef and Capkold Corporate Trainer. At Unified Brands, his daily focus was training end-users and company sales representatives on the benefits and operation of Capkold cook-chill systems. Culinary demonstrations, worldwide sales, kitchen layout design and installation advisory assistance were also his main responsibilities. In former years he was the Executive Chef and Corporate Trainer for the Fifty-Five Limited Restaurant Group. With this company he opened many new restaurants while also assisting in the layout of kitchen equipment, training of the staff and menu development. Where as a Field Service Technician with GCS, Inc., Mr. Franks performed warranty for 50 different equipment companies. Mr. Franks was responsible for facilitating the installation of all equipment and systems in over 50 different renovations and start up installation projects. Mr. Franks sub-contracted at Ohio State University Hospital Nutrition and Dietetics Department. He managed Ohio State University kitchen maintenance schedule and oversaw other technicians.
Mr. Franks is a registered ServSafe Instructor and Proctor for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). Mr. Franks also holds a certification Master CFESA Technician for gas, electric and steam equipment maintenance as well as certifications through EPA for refrigeration. Mr. Franks also is experienced with kitchen design and layout using basic AutoCAD.
