I am 54 years old, a realtor in Florida for the past three years (still active) and before that I worked in my husbands mortgage company since 1998.  He closed his office in 2005 to go work for a bank. I find that most potential employers frown on the fact that my real estate license is still active, in the thinking that I might miss work to work on real estate.  How can I reply to this?  I am professional and have a great support team, but this answer does not seem to satisfy. Besides, I do not have any other references other than the present one. Please advise.
