I have a bichon, he has developed a really bad tearing problem which stains his paws and his beard and eyes.  I have tried the conventional tear staining products and have even placed him on science diet but it is not improving.  I am not sure how much cookies, raw hide or other products contribute to this problem either.  I do live in illinois and am not sure if it's an allergy to something here but he has it year round which kinda eliminates the pollen thing.  Thanks for taking the time to answer this question.
