I have a purposely bred 1/2 Yorkie Terrier, 1/2 Chihuahua. They called him a yoha. He is a very smart pup he speaks, but is also trained when we say "No Barking" he stops. We live in an apartment but lots of room for a small(?) dog. He weighs approx 7lbs, healthy. Ok that was just a little history, now the problem!

Loki, refuses to eat dog food of any kind. He chews on rawhides, normal dog things, eats Iam's biscuits. I have been feeding him low fat meats, veggies. When I try to feed him dog food and wait him out he just goes hungry and I'm worried he'll have a seizure from low blood sugar. He is extremely stubborn when it comes to his food and even picky about what I feed him.

HELP!!!!!! What do I do to get him to eat dog food instead of people food. I have no idea if I'm even feeding him the right vitamins, minerals etc. .

 What would be a good dog food to feed him?

 What are his nutritional needs?

How do I get him to eat his dog food?

I want so much to do what's right for him, he's our baby, part of the family.! Thank you so much. If you can help I would really appreciate it..

I have a Siberian that does the same thing.  She will eat her food but only as a last resort.  I would also limit his rawhide / cookie intake that could be the reason he's not eating his dog food.  He's not a big dog.  I would add a little scrambled egg, or rice, or anything that perhaps you are eating to his bowl.  normally dogs like to eat when you eat so that might work for him too.  Get really small bite food too,  that might help.  Mine eat science diet and I just found one that has small bites which helped me since I have two smaller dogs (bichon and Yorkie mix).  Sometimes just adding something to their bowl gets them interested.
