I have an 8 month old bassett hound puppy. She is eating everything in my house that is made out of wood (windowsills, coffee table, entertainment center). She only does it when no one is home, so I can't catch her to punish when she does it. She has lots and lots of toys and chews. I found a "keep off" spray, but it's almost as bad on the wood as the chewing, and it only worked for an hour or two and she was back at it. I also tried crate training, and she just howls and howls the entire time she is in there, until she is hoarse. Any suggestions?
