Mold In The Home!  I've found mold in my home and are experiencing health problems that can be contributed to mold, I was told that I didn't have the black mold staghboytus or the death mold it was a typical brown mold I don't know how long it has been in my house. The engineer told me he could not say whether the mold was causing me heath problems or not, but did tell us measures of how to get rid of the mold. The doctors are trying me on differnet medicine right now, still I am not feeling well. I don't have another house I can just go live at. So I am staying at home, we  have not got rid of all the mold yet, due to financing,  but are doing what we can, as fast as we can. My question is should I stay in this house, or what shall I do.

Hi we just went through the same thing, except ours was a combination of black mold and green mold.  We had a house fire back in 95 and one wall was shot with a fire hose and was not removed thus the mold began.  Find out were the mold is forming;  clean with bleach, and go to a home depot and find a good mold biocide solution.  remove, all sheet rock and treat all mold areas with the biocide and paint mold resistant paint. you can do a search for what products are best.

You might want to call your home owners insurance company prior to treating, they might cover you for treatment , allowing you the funds to hire a state licensed environmental company, in which case you would get a certificate for mold treatment, which would make the resell of the home easier.
