Hi,

I have been a stay at home Dad for the last 5 months and am now looking to get back to work.  I worked for the Dept. of Homeland Security for 5 years.  Over the past month or so I have had no success in finding work, my resume was updated so I believe that is not the problem.  I am located in Leetonia, Ohio about 70 miles east of Cleveland and a 50 minute drive from Pittsburgh, PA.  Any suggestions on how I can increase my chances of finding a job or any other suggestions that I may have over looked during my search.  Thanks for the help.

Make sure you're varying your methods of applying...just looking online won't do the trick.  Also, I realize you want to work NOW, but nothing ever happens quickly in the workplace. So in the scheme of things, it hasn't been that long. Don't get discouraged.  Focus on making direct contacts. If you apply online, then take the next step of finding someone who works at the company to connect with directly to let them know of your qualifications and abilities. Good luck
