I left my job about 10 years ago to help my husband start up his business, and to take care of our young children.  We have recently moved out of state and now I am currently seeking my previous profession as a Medical Biller, I did recently complete courses to get updated on my return to the workforce.  I have been on several interviews but no responses.  Any interview ideas?  Can you offer any advise on landing that perfect job.

Thanks

Call everyone you interviewed with to ask for feedback on why you weren't selected.  Without knowing that, it's hard to know what to do or say differently.  Remind them of your interest and your qualifications.  Ask doctors in your new area who handles their billing/coding and see if they'll help make introductions for you.  Staying top of mind shows that you're hungry and passionare, so don't give up just b/c they don't call you back. Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands to be in the game.  Good luck!

One of the  things that Tory mentioned is that email applications are numerous.  If you have an address take your resume personally.  First impressions go a long way and follow up with a phone call.  The squeaky wheell always gets oiled.  Don't be shy to tell them why they should hire you.  I just recently got a job offer after struggling for 6 years and doing all the right things.  I told them that I would work harder than their first choice candidate and I compiled a brag book with everything that was relevant to my experience for the last 27 years - it worked.
