I have been a stay at home mom for almost a year and re-entering the work force. I am also moving out of state. So my search is complicated and I am a non profit management professional. Do you have suggestions for an out of state job search for non profit work? Often the traditional methods of job searching do not apply to non profit work.

thanks so much

There are some great sites like idealist.org or deepsweep.com that you can use for leads.  Networking is the best source. It tends to be a close-knit field, so the more you can connect with people, the better...especially since many of the roles are never advertised.  You can arrange phone conversations if meeting in person isn't feasible.  Make lists of the people you know and the people you're trying to reach and commit to meeting those goals. Research organizations in the new city that might appeal to you and cold call their directors to set up a chat.  Burning up the phone lines is key!  good luck

There are several nonprofit job boards on the web. . . the Foundation Center has one, Nonprofit TImes, Nonprofit Oyster, and others.  If you want to email me off list I can share others, depending on what field you are interested in and where you'll be moving.

Thanks. I have checked many of the online sites. Unfortunately, I am moving to an area where job opportunities are fewer than I would like. I will email you hjrabby.

Thanks
