It seems that my mother-in-law doesn't accept me. I am the only daughter-in-law so therefore I get the second hand treatment. My children are also suffering from this. My 2 daughters do not see their grandparents as much as they would like. My in-laws have never made a trip just to see us. When they do visit us they refuse to stay with us. This issue not only hurts me and my children, but I see the pain in my husband knowing that his parents don't accept him and his family. Just a side note we have not done anything to deserve this treatment. How do I cope with this and help my husband to cope with it.

It's their loss.  Perhaps it's your housekeeping habits  or something about your lifestyle or that they are avoiding.   Instead of condemning them, make sure your own back yard is clean first.
