My doctor thought my cholestorol results were great until I told him of the history of heart disease in my family. He performed a blood test called Lp(a) which was at 80 (supposed to be near 13?), putting me in the HIGH risk category for a heart attack. He then started me on Lipitor. Is there credence in this test? If so, shouldn't you be encouraging people to get this test?
