I am a wife of retired military and I am concerned about medication and hypertension. I am being seen at a medical facility that is military and they are wanting me to go on medication for the high blood pressure. I have been bugged about this for at least 3 years now and I am afraid to go on meds as a friend of ours (same age as me) was on meds and had to have kidney dialysi and transplant done and my mom is now on dialysis and both have been on high blood pressure meds. I feel the more they bug me about the blood pressure the higher it goes (I actually fret going to the doctor as they always have something to say about the pressure and want me to medicate every time a pressure is taken). Please help ease my concerns...The pressure does go up higher and higher as I get closer and closer to the building, I can feel the heart rate going up! Thank you for the help.
