I'm confused. Is natural peanut butter good for you since it has the right kind of fat or not. Is it ok for breakfast on whole grain toast?

Peanut butter should be limited.  Two reasons: It's poly and mono (unsaturated fat) are not proportionate to one another.  In other words, their ratios are skewed horrible.  Too much polyunsaturated fat has been linked to CHD.  Secondly, ALL peanuts carry a mold and there's nothing that can be done about it.  That is what causes children to have what appears to be an allergic reaction.  There are however, peanut butters (mostly organic) that now add palm kernal oil to balance the poly and mono (unsaturated fats).  If you truly want a good quality nut butter, try almond butter.  The ratios are perfect and the nut carries no mold.  It's pure in form and nutrition.
