Why does my LDL number consistently stay the same @ 160 but my HDL stays within range over 50? Am I at high risk for heart disease?

Do you change activities or foods? Maybe God made you that way. If you are a woman without other risk factors or man over 65 I would probably talk to my doc about adding pantothenic acid Vit B5 at 150 mg twice a day to see if that helped. If you are a man, I would talk to my doc about an LDL cholestrol lowering regimen, such as lipitor, crestor, or zetia. Dr. Mike

I am a woman without major risk factors. Hypotyroidism has been a problem since my teen years but I continue to take synthroid to help regulate this. I am a walker and very rarely eat foods high in fat. However, I noticed this change in my LDL after menopause. Could this be a factor? I sincerely thank you for replying and will talk to my doc regarding pantothenic acid. I am also going to buy the book for additional tips. Thank you again!
