I keep haveing these dreams lately where I'm falling. I could be falling down a cliff -- it is usually a long fall. Why am I having these dreams? I can't think of anything changing in my life right now. Thank you for your time.

Falling Dreams are very common. They are often terrifying. Try keeping track of important emotional issues in your life, relationships, work, friends. This may give you a clue. Often falling dreams can be linked with a sense of lossing control emotionally--in either small ways such as not being able to control a recent situation or interaction--to larger issues that destabilize a person emotionally. Falling may also be linked in evolution to a vestige of when developing humans lived in trees. Another idea linked to both falling and paralysis dreams has to do with the reality that our large muscles are paralyzed during REM or Rapid Eye movement sleep when most dreams occur. That may lead to falling and paralysis dreams. Interpretation:  It sounds as if you have a complex with failure.  You are possibly one of two ways: 1.) afraid to try, change, or go forward - because - you fear failure or; 2.) you don't have a problem asserting yourself but you fear failure so you avoid great risk.
