There is a lot of immaturity on this board...calling MJ a freak is simply juvenile. If anyione suspects that his behavior is illegal, that is fine...the law has spoken and we all think what we think but it is irrelevant without proof. We can accuse anyone of anything up to a point but there is nothing about MJ that makes him any more a freak than many people who have surgery or who dress uniquely. Some of what makes MJ different may be by choice but some is just health problems. Have you ever known anyone with vitiligo? I have. It isn't pleasant to have your skin turn white in blotches but if anyone called my friend a freak, most of us would think it was exteremely rude. There has been so much criticism of MJ's appearance and I think that is infantile. If anyone has real evidence of illegal behavior, then that is one thing. Resorting to attack on someone's looks because there is no evidence is ridiculous.

Not just looks or dress. How many of your friends with vitiligo walk around with a chimpanzee as a best friend and electively live in an amusement park? How many of your friends who have had cosmetic surgery have 7 surgeries because they have such self-loathing? Hang babies out of windows? I have had friends with other strange pets. Ocelots and lions, iguanas, tarantulas.... I'd favor the chimp! Living in an amusement park does not make someone a freak. We all dreamed of that as children...that or a candy store. If I had the money...what difference does that make. That does not make someone a freak. People who can afford surgery have it. Most people I know can only have nose jobs and breast implants. Again, this does not make someone a freak. In fact, the word freak is not one that anyone I know would use on anyone else. It is such a male adolescent word and maybe my students would, but no adults. We tend to outgrow the word with maturity. The baby thing was a mistake. So was the Steve Irwin crocodile thing but most people don't call him a freak. Many people have a flase sense of security.People who leave their children in cars when they go into the store, don't use child seats in cars (they tell me Jesus will protect them instead)take chances for "just a second" put their children in danger and are called many things but never "Freak". As for grabbing the crotch, I would have expected that you have seen this an worse if you see any rock or pop performances. Some of us are not all that hung up by the human body but I get the point. I don't find it entertaining, but I've seen and heard alot worse. Elvis was condemned for what at the time was seen as being much worse, but not many people I know called him a freak. (He certainly thrusted his hips) Thrusting hips is everywhere. Been to any weddings lately? People with health problems go to the ER. I certainly know many who have done so often and I myself, suffering from back problems would never condemn anyone for seeking emergency help. If you have some place to go and your back goes out, there is no alternative! Need those shots or you can't move. None of these things make someone a freak. If they did, we'd all be freaks at some time in our lives. These things have no place in clouding the mind about a person's guilt or innocence or status as a human being.

Some of us recognize it as individuality and diversity. Why must we all be alike? Why must we be boringly "normal" by standards set by those who haven't really met anyone beyond their own closed circle. Unless someone harms others (and let's keep that separate from these so-called "weird bahaviors) then they have every right to be who they choose to be. I see people with all colors of hair that nature never intended, tatoos all over, piercings all over the face and other parts with spikes, and people whose gender cannot be clearly described on first sight, people who dress in ways I never imagined...and guess what, when you get to know them, they are intelligent and interesting people. People can shake their heads and call people weird as much as they want, these are students I see daily and many are honor students and some are professors who are charitable, intelligent and live exemplary lives. So why judge Michael by what is much less "weird" on things that do not have a thing to do with criminal behavior. Yes, and I know people who are 46 who do drink wine occassionally too...let's separate fact from fiction, impressions from prejudice. My students told me MJ had a "secret room" where he had pictures of naked children. Turned out the room was just a room, no secrets and there was one photo from that calendar of the woman (gee the name escapes me now) who photographs babies in flowers. That ain't porn!

For any person who is falsely accused of anything, a not guilty verdict is not better than a guilty one, it is only less worse.
