I know I'm the only person who finds this interesting, funny, and sad. But, I'm amazed that Court TV, still hasn't fully corrected this mistake.
As you may know, Jake Byrd is a character on the Jimmy Jimmy Kimmel, who shows up at news events. He says insane things, that no normal person would ever say.
He first appeared as an MJ "fan" during the arrest. The New York Post mistakenly quoted him, saying he was a fan, and repeating his phony story about where he worked and lived. The New York Times admitted to the error and published a correction.
Court TV met up with Jake Byrd *months* later, and interviewed him. This was during jury deliberations. He gave the *same* name, hometown, and employer (all fake of course). But, they still quoted the man.
Anyhow, here is what is still on Court TV's website, as of this post.
"It will be a glorious day for adults who sleep with little boys. Just sleep!"
? Michael Jackson fan Jake Byrd, commenting outside the courtroom on his prediction that the pop singer will be acquitted.

I (and many others I'm sure) e-mailed them about another place with the fake quotes. They fixed one url. But, they left this.
After the verdict, Jimmy Kimmel did another "bit" with him, and it was apparent that many people at the court house, including fans, could not distinguish this obviously and deliberately bizarre man from "normal" fans.
Court TV calls the page this is on "hearsay". I guesse we know why hearsay is not allowed in court.
