Why don't we prioritize?  Leave Alec Baldwin and Brittany Spears' haircut alone and concentrate on things that are matters of life and death?  What are we becoming, a nation of gossips?

So you're saying let's not talk about Alec?  Alec just told me he objects.  He WANTS to be talked about.  He's an actor.

I did not say, "Let's not talk about Alec Baldwin."  I suggested we ignore the details of his personal life.  If he has an argument with his daughter, so what?  We all have arguments with our children and his is of no more interest than anyone else's.

If he makes political statements, they don't carry any more weight than yours or mine either, though they may be worth discussing.

And of course if we want to talk about his work, that's relevant, since it's a product being offered to the public for consumption.  And we are all consumers.

I agree that Alec's reprimand was personal and not news worthy.  However, I was relieved to learn that some hollywood parents do attempt to teach their children.  If the Hilton's had reprimanded Paris early on than maybe most Americans would not know what Paris's genitals look like.  I regret talking about Paris, again. Yet, I cannot help but believe that if her parents were like Alec than she may have turned out to be a better example. Paris's parents dropped the ball. Since they failed to teach her right from wrong, it is now up to society. Paris has a lot to learn in a short time.  Society continues to fail Paris when they do not hold her accountable. When she was released from jail early, society failed her.  Thank God for the wise judge who reinstated her.  Society will continue to fail her if they continue to pay her for interviews were she discusses the "hardship of a jail sentence," partying, sex tapes, or any impairments.  I swear to boycott any news station that pays her to discuss her jail time.  These actions have sent Paris the WRONG message.  Paris parents have sent her the WRONG message.  I hope that the news net works and the American people have had enough of this irresponsible behavior and that they begin to send the CORRECT message to Paris and  to other rich, out of control, lost,  young people .
