As always having been a fan of John's fairly unbiased jounalism and news reporting, I was amazed and disappointed when I saw the tiger story.

Many of the points and opinions voiced were surprising to come from a educated person.  There is a reason that there are more tigers in captivity then in the wild, especially when people cannot see where the problem starts.  And that is with humans.  Then again, you are just lucky to have a job that allows you to talk about your opinions to a national audience.  Can only hope that the audience can see though the small amount of truth to what is opinion.

Hoping that your next stories will come from the thoughful and insightful John.

Thank you.

I cannot believe what I am reading...... Who would be so crass to suggest "farming" of a near (if not actual) endangered species????  These animals are intelligent, predatory animals and attempting to "farm" them will only lead to problems upon problems.....  Anyone with any compassion and sensitivity at all would be deeply saddened to see these majestic animals caged for their entire exisetence only to be consumed by a human race who does not appreciate life itself.  John Stossel, I used to be an avid 20/20 watcher but your public opinion on this matter has soured my experience altogether.

You attack John because you disagree with his story, but you give no other recourse? What are you? A Liberal? Sounds like some of the people working for the current administration..."believe it because I say it" is their montra with no substance to back it up. John showed substance...he sited three other cases of animals near extension that were brought back from that level due to farming. What is your recourse? Let them completely die-out? He showed in his piece that is exactly what is happening. So when they do die out because of those who cannot see the problem, do we just site how dumb they were because they didn't listen? You infer controlling people is the answer...hmmmm...that's not worked yet and has not worked throughout history, so, do you have anything else?
