Finally, someone has the guts to say what we are all thinking.  I've said it many times .. even just this last week.  The elderly have nothing to do but go to the doctors and keep those of us who work and have limited time hindered from seeing the doctor in a timely fashion.   IT'S A WEEK BEFORE I CAN SEE THE DOC WHEN I'M SICK.  The reason .. because the elderly and the unemployed pack in the office for either their social or medicinal fixes.  And I'm tired of it.  John Stossel is great for saying things that people don't have the #### to say out loud.

I agree with the whole program ... the only part I may be not so fully supportive of is the pregnancy portion.  I agree to an extent but not fully.  But, overall, a great show!!

Thank You for opening the lines of dialogue

Let's not forget the illegal aliens clogging up the system, parasites draining the lifeblood from the funds provided by hardworking taxpayers.

I don't agree with all of John's points either, but how refreshing to hear different points of view on topics we don't normally discuss. As humans, we don't learn anything unless we first pose the question, or jump without looking. 20/20 usually has really good programs, much better than the show last week about "if i only had a gun...!          Keep it up John! We're trying to evolve here!

Have you been to Mexico? Have you ever tried for 3 years to get a job? Have you ever stood on a street corner praying a truck would pull up so you could make money for the day? Do you know who created America? Immigrants! You are an immigrant, no matter how many times removed. Remember who we are. Ohh yea, greedy americans. You basicly said it.

I'm personally not fully an immigrant ... i do have family that are Native Americans. But the part of my family that did immigrate to America got treated poorly ... they were vilified and given menial jobs ... but guess what ... THEY WERE HERE LEGALLY!!!

If you chooooooose to come to America ... and say you LOVE AMERICA ... then respect it enough to register yourself so you can get the help if you qualify ... and learn the basic English language .. so when you need help ... we can assist you.

Yes .. it would be grand if Americans taught our children to be multi-lingual .. but we're still having problems feeding our own children let alone people coming here to live that don't respect it enough to register properly.  So, if you gotta beg and hope for a truck to pull up .. I'm sorry ... but it seems like that's much better than the life you left or you wouldn't have left.  It's not like it's a secret that it's tough for legal Americans to get a job let alone illegals.  There are people in my city that wait on trucks to pull up or for one more hand needed for dock work. And they are all Legal Americans.

So, yes .... illegals are sucking funds from us also.  And when you do come in the government gives you grants and bonds for a home and to start a business.  NOONE GAVE ME A CHECK WHEN I WAS BORN TO BUY A HOME OR START A BUSINESS.  And they didn't give it to my immigrant side of the family over 100 yrs a go when they that side of the family came to America.  They started their own business in the neighborhood which was made up of the same nationality and was butchers and shoemakers and tailors.  They were not promoted for Affirmative Action within Corp America.

interesting that you assume I'm an immigrant. I'm very white and live in Maine. Try to read what I wrote from a less bias point of view. I've got nothing from being an immigrant. My brother has a harder time then the average person getting a college loan because he ISN'T a minority.  I just payed attention to what I saw. Immigrants won't go away. And they deserve to be here too! I've been looking for a job since December. I don't blame the immigrants for my misfortune.

I didn't assume u were an immigrant ... i was saying U as in the 3rd party terminology.  So, don't take it so personal ..  i don't know you ... and at this point don't care to.  This isn't about U--Trish ... i was speaking that as a person if "U" decide to do this then oooo well.  Deal with the consequences.

Wow, so sorry. I don't know what I did but I apologize for offending you. I wouldn't comment with you. Again sorry. Just was hoping to have a discussion. I thought that's what this was for.

Again... i know .. it's type and things get messed up.  But one of them said that i assumed you were an illegal but i really didn't mean u specifically.  But ... it's cool u can respond if u want .. i just didn't want anyone to think i was personally attacking them. =D
