After watching tonight's show, I have only one comment and it is this:  You mentioned that there were 6 working people supporting seniors in the past and now there are only 4 working to support seniors.  No one has ever owned up to the fact that millions of aborted babies would now be the working force of today.  And yet they fight to keep abortions legal.  You figure that one.

And where will those aborted babies work? huh? 8.4% of american's are out of work. are you nuts? more people are the last thing this country needs. Stupid that you made this about abortion. I would hate for that to be all you focus on. Too many opinions.

I must wholeheartedly agree!  The last thing an overpopulated world needs is more unwanted people.  The population problem is already putting a strain in the earth's limited resources!

Who should pay for for Medicare?  Tax organized religion.  If they insist on sticking their noses into politics with their anti abortion agenda, let them pay their fair share of supporting the government.

Sorry Granny50 ... but you're talking about apples and this is oranges.  So, what you're saying is let's overpopulate the world to cover the costs of the elderly wanting to visit a doctor a day just to hear them blather on about aches and pains.  So, why don't we just farm children to help support the needs of the elderly since they can't stop and understand that you go to the doctors at most once a month unless you have a fatal disease. But for those that are just home alone and bored.

And if children we not aborted years ago ... we'd have a bigger problem taking care of more unwanted people.  This story was primarily directed to the elderly that are buying homes nearing ONE MILLION DOLLARS .. not for the general GranMa and GranPa living in the regular neighborhood. But all seniors should be accountable for what they are wasting ... their time.  The time you sit in doctor's ofc for trivial problems just for a "visit" you could be going somewhere and volunteering time for either other elderly that are really in need of some social contact ... or maybe some children's hospitals where children are fighting cancer that never had a life to forget or remember.  That would be more productive and maybe something beneficial for the elderly as well.

Giving back. I might not be so disgruntled if more elderly gave back. You are capable, don't act like you aren't. It's just as easy for you to volunteer as it is for me. And if not then so be it. But it's the truth of the matter, the elderly could do alot more to earn what is being "given" to them. If you are elderly and you took offense I'm sorry. Just becasue you worked 50-60 hours a week doesn't mean you deserve any more then me. I work 50-60 hours a week and have nothing being saved for me. I don't expect fair, but I would really appreciate some gratitude. Not "life isn't fair".

I'm assuming this wasn't directed to me specifically since I'm not elderly YET haha .. but you're right ... instead of sitting and waiting to die .. go give back time to help people that can't get up and go to the doc's 3 or more times a week .. c'mon .. if they need to see a doc that many times a week for a VALID ILLNESS ... then they should be in the hospital.

There's absolutely no need to see a doctor that often.  Once a month for general maintenance is sufficient.  If you have heart prob and such then maybe another appt to that specialist once a month ... but when you're sitting in Boca driving cars that are as big as a boat that you can barely see over and go back north in the summertime since it's too hot for u in Boca during the summer but just right in the winter ... then u need to stop sucking the country dry of it's resources for those who TRULY NEED IT. Stop being such greedy vindictive elderly cause your life is dwindling down.  You're stealing from the poor kids that have cancer that never had a life to live.

And before you start cursing me out .. again ... this is geared towards those who have fat bank accounts and living the Life of Riley and still abusing the system for things they could pay for and not be a burden on society.  Not geared towards those who really really need the financial help because they are living from paycheck to paycheck or SS check to SS check.  The weekly doc visits need to stop ... once a month to primary and specialist is sufficient enough.

Once a month? wow. once a year would be very much apreciated by most americans without medical coverage! If people actually get check ups once a month I am more enraged then I was to start.

Well .. now again.. we're talking about Apples and you're talking about Oranges.

This is about the elderly...it's not about the people who don't have insurance.  And if you want to discuss that learn to start a thread about that.  You seem to be going off topic on a few threads now.  You might wanna pull back and not ramble about something we're not discussing in this thread.

This is saying for the elderly to cut down from going 3 times a week to going even once a month .. heck .. once a week would be a welcome reduction.

So, again,  if you want to ramble on about the uninsured ... start a thread specifically about it.
