John...If you get paid by tonights rating you might have to take out a second mortgage on your house (OR we could only hope)  If your intent was to get people to watch the show then prehaps you shouldn't have voiced your opinion on "The View" this morning prior to it's airing.  Once I heard that pathetic praddle  about giving more of it to our young people and less to the folks WHO HELPED TO BUILD THIS COUNTRY so that you and others like you can spout off about and receive a healthy paycheck about what you think  it definetly turned me off of ever watching your show again!!!!   Did you roll out of you expensive bed and hit your head on the floor of your find expensive home?   Who do you think were the people who busted their humps every day getting up at all hours and went to work building this country to what we have today?   Ever set foot in a museum that shows the men who built Mount Rushmore? built Hoover Dam? worked the projects of CCR? started a small family business or a farm to pass on to their children with nothing more than sense of pride that they were able to feed their kids and buy them new shoes each school year?  they didn't get to put large check in the bank every month for their retirement!  But if you feel that private enterprise should help out these elderly folks lets see you put up your checks to feed these home bound seniors with a social security check of $500. a month.    Get out there and help that farmer pay his bills and pay back the bank the money he's borrowed in hopes that this year his crows will get him out of the red.  I know you don't want him to go under or where else would you go get the groceries to feed your family?   DON'T BITE the hand that feeds you John.  Don't  think that because you woke up today a free man and are able to spout off the thing that you want, because it was the men that are old today gave you the right by giving up part of themselves so that you could do so, the same men who today receive that assistance that you want to take away and give to those who have not yet earned it.   GIVE US A BREAK!
