Thank goodness you're on 20/20.  You're the only reason we watch it.  The other reporters must've sold their souls to report and believe in what they do. 

As prison is becoming big business for revenue as well as incrementally stripping citizens of their freedom to protect the criminals' rights, could the USA change the punishment to sending heinous criminals out to sea, the worse the crime the farther they're dropped off?  Maybe give them a wooden canoe with a day's supply of food and water.  Tag/code them for their crime to alert any who attempt to help them.  If anyone attempts to rescue them (i.e. other criminals), they'll be self-destructed then and there.  If by some divine miracle they reach land and survive, they're given another chance.  If they are repeat offenders, next 'vacation' will be the far in the Antarctica.

Why do we keep catering to the criminals and we keep losing our freedoms and sense of safety by politicians?
