Tonights episode of 20/20 was a farce.
The one sided approach that was used wasn't journalism, it was an editorializing. A poorly written one at that. Tonights show said that people can't use weapons to defend themselves. This is contrary to our experiences as a society. If you don't believe me ask a police officer, solder, or armed citizen who has had to use their weapon. Firearms save lives.

The argument these idiots have isn't with guns, it is with violence. They think that if they outlaw guns, humans will not be violent. This isn't true. You can look at the crime stats from the UK and AU and see that their violent crime rates have gone up after outlawing most firearm possession, not down.

It is sad that 2020 would demand that the weak have no ability to fight back against the strong. Sad.
The first thing the Nazi s did was to make the Jews get rid of their guns..
Food for thought.

I could not agree with you more...  Let's get all the LAW ABIDING citizens to turn in their guns and give up their rights afforded to them by the 2nd amendment.  Magically there will be no gun violence, right?  I'm sure the criminals will do the same, I mean hey, it's the law!  Then we can all sit around the campfire, holding hands and sing songs.  I expected this kind of "reporting" from ABC, so nothing shocking here.

Keep your "change!"  Intruders will be shot...  survivors will be shot again!

When I saw the title of the show (as I am sure everyone else did) I knew what we were in for, but I must say 20/20 out did thereselves this time. David you are dead on with your comments. If I put gloves, a long shirt, and a helmet on a trained police officer and told the gunman who in the room was carrying even the most highly trained would no doubt suffer the same outcome. Next time maybe try handcuffing the student to the table. The point is an individual who is trained in self defense would not put themselves in the center of the room, front row, and have unfamiliar equipment as in this scenario. I only hope if I am ever in a situation with a hostile gunman that someone (perhaps me) has a concealed weapon, in fact the more the better. This show was nothing but propaganda to demonize guns. I don't understand why people like this do not won't us to be able to defend ourselves.

I use one of the companies extensively, that advertised on Darfur Dianes  hit piece.  I will not use them again, and will be calling them on Monday morning to tell them exactly why I will not use them any longer.  I did notice the this site is deleting posts of folks that share my opinion.  Guess they value the 1st amendment as much as they value the 2nd.

They only care for the first amendment when it applies to them.
