Instead of just trying to come up with public relations gimmicks, the Pepsi management needs to cut the caffeine out of Mountain Dew.  Quit trying to hook kids!

This show is just a ratings gimmick. I live in southeast Ky, I have excellent teeth ,as do the rest of my family. As far as Mt dew goes ,i dont even like the stuff, They have found the worst few people they could find and tried to make it out like all of us are that way, Im sure i could go to the city and find some homeless guy and say thats what all city people are like!

i'm sure 20/20 was not trying to tell all of their viewers that everyone in kentucky is like this.  i am pretty sure that they want people to be aware. the lil' babies that got mt.dew in their bottles all the time is really sad.  as far as the teeth thing goes, probably the parents are afraid to go to the dentist and they r passing down their fears to their children along with alot of many other problems.  what a mess!

Mountain Dew is consumed no more is southest Kentucky than it is anywhere else.  I have no idea what that horse [manure] was all about.

I mean, honestly...Mountain Dew?

I have all of my teeth too, BTW.  There are dentist in my home town, and they are quite good too.  The coal mines have good dental insurance, so my teeth were always taken care of.

I was always more of an RC person.

The little babies that got Mountain Dew...

Gaaaaaaaah!  No!  No!  No..........!!!

That doesn't happen.  Someone probably made a flipping joke, and Diane Sawyer took it seriously.  I mean, perhaps at some point some fool somewhere put Mountain Dew in a baby bottle, but thats not so epidemic in Kentucky.  That could have just as easily been rural Arizona, or some fool in the Bronx.

God so help me I hate being stereotyped.

Why is Pepsi management loading up Mountain Dew with caffeine, even more than in Pepsi?  I'm suspicious.

hey just wondering if what i just read some where else.  this girl said that clean water is hard to come by in this area especially with the coal mines around.  she said some areas had cleaner water than other areas.  so, if this is true instead of boiling water or instead of having to buy pricey bottled water, maybe they find it easier to do the dew?  just wondering?
