Let's pretend everything you've said is true. Why is it the government's job to regulate what a person wants to do with their body? Why in the world should some politician that is completely ignorant of the facts (watch Bigger, Faster, Stronger and you'll see what I mean) be allowed to tell someone they can't lift 200 pounds more than they would be able to naturally? Everybody's body is their own, and they should be able to do with it what they will. If the majority of steroid users became aggressive and committed violent crimes, maybe it would be different. The fact is, however, that they don't. You mentioned aggression in the gym, and attributed it to steroids. I am completely natural, and I amp myself up to the point of insanity in order to lift more weight. Have you ever watched Layne Norton, a natural profession bodybuilder, train? The man is absolutely crazy, but it has nothing to do with steroids. It's just a routine.

And as for being broken down once you hit 40, look up some old time bodybuilders like Frank Zane and Sylvester Stallone. Used responsibly, steroids can greatly increase quality of life into old age. Yes, if they are abused they can cause many problems. However, if a doctor could properly supervise their use, side effects could be greatly minimized. Honestly, to me you sound like a self righteous natty. I have no problem with those that choose not to use, but those that do partake should be allowed to legally.

I get back from the gym and have this to respond to -.-.

As far as liver and kidney damage, this can only occur if taking orals and only if the user does not use the proper meds i.e. Milk Thistle or Liv.52. Alcohol also damages the liver and kidneys, what of that ?

As far as the fusion of the epiphysis no one is condoning the use of AAS to minors.

Your statement "Do you think a drug that causes natural testosterone production to shutdown so that breast tissue forms in men is really a safe drug?" is a clear indication of your lack of understanding on the subject. Let me explain, the body enjoys homeostasis and when your body senses an increase in testosterone, due to the administration of exogenous testosterone by the user, your body compensates by suppressing Luteinizing hormone which signals your testicles to no longer produce its own endogenous supply of testosterone; your testicles atrophy and cease to function as a result. The excess amount of testosterone gets converted into estrogen (and DHT, finasteride can be used to remedy) by an enzyme called aromatase by way of aromatization . This can be easily remedied by an Aromatase inhibitor (AI, prevents the conversion of androgens into estrogen) or Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM, which occupies the estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus and pituitary and blocks estrogen exertion on those glands.). As well, to prevent atrophy of the testicles one can administer Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), To mimic LH) intra cycle or post cycle to restore function and size of the testicles at a later time. All of this is extremely basic knowledge when using AAS.

Acne can be easily remedied as well, Accutane for one, and not all users experience this.

What healthy man doesn't want increased libido ?

The side effects of using for women are well documented. However, again, if a female wants to use these compounds who are we to tell her no ? There are many anabolic substances a female can utilize with MINIMAL sides. I've seen some very muscular women who are still quite feminine. Again, users who know what they are doing are going to except the risks.

Hundreds of thousands of injuries, huh ? Who's being sensationalistic, now ? Your post reeks of irony.

Broken down men, I'm really laughing over here. Take a joint supplement and lift SMART. Steroids or not, if you abuse your body in the gym by lifting with terrible technique you're going to have joint issues.

Sure, it can be psychologically addictive but what isn't these days ? It also depends very heavily on the individual. At least there is no physical dependency, to go along with the psychological,  like Alcohol, Cigarettes, Pain medications, etc.

Would it be too much to ask that those who debate this topic have an understanding of it ? You are a victim of the propaganda we're trying to push past, Deuuuce.

Again, I find it ironic how you accuse Stossel of being sensationalistic when it is you, good sir, who are being sensationalistic. You're throwing around wild accusations out there with no evidence whatsoever. You have many baseless assumptions and it really makes you look like a fool, no offense.

Oh, and by the way, I'm a natural bodybuilder. Although, I certainly intend on using AAS, one day ... intelligently, of course ;).
