You're damned right I'm ANGRY! Why shouldn't I be when most every day I hear rude people using the word "gay" to imply something is lame or weak (neither of which am I, I can assure you of that)?! I'm sick and f'ing tired of this crap! People like Imus are allowed to run freely across my TV and Radio spouting hate that degrades everyone. To take some reclining pose and say, "Oh, they don't mean it, they are just uneducated, they are ignorant of the fact that words do damage, I'm just gonna sit back and relax..." would be foolish of me. No, it's HIGH TIME I and those who feel the way I do stand up and fight this. Because we DID gloss over it in years and decades past and now we have an entire media genre that has made a market for itself in ridiculing, embarrassing and taunting people. That says alot about our great country...AND HOW SAD IT'S GOTTEN. Thanks for you post though. You seem nice in a way and I appreciate the ideas. I actually have great conversations with friends...and afterward, we still remain friends...:) Thanks again...and thanks for being real.
