Government are also the ones that keep big brother oil company's in business. They also turned a blind eye for all of these years, giving the public very few extra options to choose from. "
While it is true the government has limited our choices in alternative energy by subsidizing oil using our income taxes, the people have more than their share of blame. We are the ones sitting in the parking lots on steaming hot days running our air conditioners full blast while someone is inside a store shopping for hours. We are the ones hat don't drive the speed limit. We are the ones that choose monster vehicles. We are the ones that don't carpool.

The alternative energies are actually far cheaper than oil. If the government were not subsidizing gasoline prices with our income taxes, gas would cost $15.00 at the pump (according to Dick Cheney) to $20.00 at the pump (according to the Resource Defense Council) to $25.00 a gallon (according to environmentalists).
If the government was to subsidize electric cars, or wave generators, or CO2 distillers, or ocean current turbines like they do oil, we would not only not have to be fighting in the middle east, but energy would be a third of the cost.
