I did not say, "Let's not talk about Alec Baldwin."  I suggested we ignore the details of his personal life.  If he has an argument with his daughter, so what?  We all have arguments with our children and his is of no more interest than anyone else's.

If he makes political statements, they don't carry any more weight than yours or mine either, though they may be worth discussing. 

 

And of course if we want to talk about his work, that's relevant, since it's a product being offered to the public for consumption.  And we are all consumers.
