Your reporting on unemployment isnt correct. You lead the country into thinking everything is getting better. But what about the people who are at and past their 99 weeks of unemployment? They still dont have jobs. Where do they fit in your story?
Think back to your high school economics class to find the answer...
- If they are still
looking for work, then they're still part of the labor force and are already counted in the "unemployed" stats.
- If they've given up looking, then they've
voluntarily left the labor force
and thus don't count as unemployed.
