After watching the Diane Sawyer special, I wrote her a lenghty hand-written letter in hopes that she might reach out but O have still not received an answer. My grandchildren were stolen away in 2005 and I haven't been allowed any contact in 2 years. I was a caregiver for my mentally ill mother for more than 20 years but , when I tried to get temporary custody while my daughter could get some help, I was ignored and lied to and treated like I was less than human. Worse than that was what they did to the children.  While I remodeled a room and got a fire inspection and fingerprinted and jumped through every hoop they put in front of me, they secretly took permanent custody and deliberately lied to the family until they thought it was too late to appeal, which it was.  It wasn't until after it was too late that we were , for the first time, offered an attorney. She was obviously a paid shill. To this day, they have not sent us one letter to say that we've lost custody and we have no idea what lies are written in the case file. I tried to get an attorney to help me sue the state but no one will help me. If I was Britney Spears, I'd have the money to pay for justice. Why is there no overseer for these heartless social workers and family courts?  If you ask me, there's a special place in Hell for these criminals.
