On the retail side, you can look at companies that offer "school shifts" -- such as the CONTAINER STORE.  Crate & Barrel is another good one.  A store-level position could lead to a corporate role.

On the IT side, you should join professional groups, network with parents of your son's friends to see if they can help with leads, attend career fairs in your area. You have to make sure those IT skills are up to date or else you'll be chasing something that won't happen.  If you recently got a degree or certifications, talk to the school and ask for their support with career services.  Good luck
