I totally agree with your comment on John Stossel's "story" about tiger farming!!! You took the words out of my mouth!
He also said that wearing minks saves them! He stated that the bison, elephants and rhinos that are privately owned are thriving. Great! They also have access to roam, fresh air & water, herd mates, natural habitat and food. The farmed tigers are behind bars and dead flesh is thrown at them, they dot't choose their mates and their young is taken away very soon after birth. All this so a culture can exploit the so called "magical" powers that tiger bone brings. That is not conservation, it is greed in it's purest form.
This country exploits animals as well for greed. It boils down to mass public education and awareness of the animal alternatives that are just as good if not better.
