Mr. Woodruff, I don't know if you read these blogs or not, but I wanted to make you aware of the recent development of a ballistic armor by a company called Bourque Industries of Tucson , Arizona.

Called Kryron, this new material has been tested by numerous law enforcement and military agencies in the last year , and has been found to stop an incredible array of sizes of bullets and incendiary devices with little or no damage . Its a tiny little company, but the proof of its products' effectiveness has already being documented in several demonstrations, including being shot with armor piercing rounds.....pretty amazing.

Collier County , Florida just took shipment of the very first batch of these ballistic plates for  their SWAT department, which my son is a member of. There has been lots of  local news coverage of this new armor, but no national focus whatsoever, which I find amazing since this product has already been shown effective against shrapnel from grenades and C4 laden pipe bombs.

Its application for armoring tanks, helicopters and other military vehicles against IED's and RPG's is already being discussed by the US's military leaders after multiple demonstrations at Ft. Bragg and Dugway military bases.

If any of this peaks your interest there is a wealth of information on the web  regarding the long road that has been taken to get this product into the hands of our miltary and law enforcement. A fairly comprehensive assembly of recent news articles and videos can be found at the IHub Message Board, by using the company's stock symbol , which is "BORK"

Thank you, Mike (from Michigan!)
