Hello from Upstate New York.  My Name is Sgt Charlie D.(USMC Ret).  I now work for an ins company and through my efforts we have been sending care packages to our soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen in IRAQ.  Currently we are in contact with the 28th Combat Support Hospital  in IRAQ as well as Forward Operation Base, Liberty, and Hammer.  Our care packages remind our men and women of the love that is here for them at home. Old Fashioned candies from the penny store, cards and letters from our employees children and grandchildren.  Dunkin Donuts and home made chocolate chip cookies. along with other items that seem never to be stocked at the local PX.

I have two boys and a daughter in law in the service, and both my wife and I have served.  So we know the anguish and heartbreak it causes not having mom and dad nearby.  My Dad served in Korea, WWII and Vietnam, and yes back in the 60s I missed my dad too!

And that is why I do what I do.  I will always remember the Toys for Tots Program that one very special Christmas.  My Dad wasn't there- but there was a USMC Marine SGT that handed me a model car and a note from my Dad.  With pride.  That image stays with me and was probablyt the driving force in my becoming a Marine.

I want to extend my thanks to all the mothers, grandmothers, fathers and grandfathers who continue to provide the moral support needed to keep the family unit whole.  I would also like to offer any family member of our men and women overseas the opportunity for us to send a Loving Care Package of goodies at no cost.  All I would ask is an APO address.
